The river, with 60 navigable kilometres, was an important harbour during the Spanish conquest of the American continent. Silver and gold from the New World arrived to Sevilla through the river and were distributed throughout the country from here. The city of Seville is famous worldwide for its culture, monuments, traditions and artistic heritage. This is the birthplace of Flamenco and the city where the most amazing Easter processions take place. But Seville is also the neuralgic centre of the South of Spain, a city full of life and possibilities. Welcome to one of the most charming cities of Spain. Seville’s rich history has left the city stuffed  with innumerable monuments like the awesome cathedral , the third largest in the world, the Giralda tower, the wonderful palace of the Reales Alcázares, the magical Barrio of Santa Cruz with its narrow streets, the Maestranza bullfighting ring and the passion for Flamenco and the perfume of orange blossoms on every corner.

Day 1 Arrival and Day at Leisure

Arrival at Seville airport or Rail Station, where you are met and transferred to the 4 star Hotel Rey Alfonso (or similar 4 star hotel) with accommodation in Standard room including breakfast daily.

Day 2   Monumental Seville: Cathedral and Alcazar

The cathedral is also the burial site of Christopher Columbus. The Alcazar of Seville is a royal palace in Seville, originally a Moorish fort. The palace is renowned as one of the most beautiful in Spain. The upper levels of the Alcazar are still used by de royal family the official Seville residence and are administered by the National Heritage. It is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, and it was registered in 1987 by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Walks between the whitewashed walls of the Santa Cruz Neighbourhood, which will involve indescribable emotions, just around any corner can feel the presence of relevant characters like Becquer and D. Juan Tenorio, anything can happen. From the Romans to the present, hundreds of years of history pass in front of our eyes.

Day 3  Gibraltar Day Trip from Seville

Admire views of the Moroccan and Spanish coastlines lining the Mediterranean Sea Take a sightseeing tour and learn about the history of this ancient city from your guide Visit the famous Rock of Gibraltar and explore St Michael’s Cave whilst meeting the local monkeys on your way. Gibraltar Day Trip from Seville Emerge early and climb aboard a comfortable air-conditioned minivan at your Seville hotel. Enjoy the scenic sights as you travel towards the island and listen as your guide sets the historical scene. On arrival, head straight to the Rock of Gibraltar, a natural formation that rises resplendently over the curvaceous coastline. Capture the landmark on camera then delve into the darkened depths of St. Michael’s cave in order to admire some of the unearthly rock sculptures that reside within.  Revel in the outrageous antics of the island’s resident monkeys as they frolic in an attempt to win your attention and affection. Then, enjoy an afternoon of independent exploration as you soak up the atmosphere of charming cafes and browse the boutiques of Main Street for special souvenirs.  Relax during the return journey to Seville, where the tour concludes.
